Rattlesnake is a Texas Limestone. This Product come in 4", 6" & 8" sizes. It has a "Hill Country" look and is prefect for Veenering applications, Flower Bed Borders, Retaining Walls or just as accsent stones.
This Product is looks best in any application when used with a colored mortar. TXI produces a product called Specmix that comes in multiple colors.
Limestone is a porous stone and should be installed so that moisture does not stay in contact with the stone. If you are using it for Flower Bed Borders, for example you would be better served to lay a concrete footer under the stone. This will keep the ground from making contact and preserve the structure of the stone. That said, you can lay this stone without a concrete footer. If you choose to you should use a product like Decomposed Granite or Flex Base as a footer. |
